Workspace 2: Records Window

Introduction

The Records Window shows the record details of fh and opens with the Individuals tab showing.

The Records Window has a data cylinders icon in the left-hand vertical Navigation Bar.

The tabs shown depend on the Records Window Preferences selected.

Customising Columns

The columns shown on each tab can be customised to list a wide variety of data. Use Lists > Configure Record Window Columns or right-click anywhere in any columns except the record names and choose Columns…. Any predefined Item on the left can be copied to or from a Column on the right using the > and < buttons. Then its Column position can be adjusted using the up and down buttons below. Preferences

The Records Window preferences can be accessed by selecting Tools > Preferences > Records Window or right-click anywhere in any columns except the record names and choose Options…..

The options are fairly self explanatory and control which tabs of the ones above are shown and which fonts and colours are used. By default each Record Type is assigned a different colour and highlights to which record each field belongs.
