The UK General Register Office (GRO) holds a central copy of all registered Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates for England & Wales.

Copies can be ordered – currently (July 2020) each certificate costs at least £11.00.

It is also possible to download a PDF image of a certificate for £7.00 (July 2020) for research purposes.
