I have just entered the details of about 200 newly discovered relatives.
Is there a quick way of setting the living flag for each of them by e.g. running down a list and changing the flag to Y, rather than having to set the flag individually by right clicking etc.

Setting lots of Living Flags in a list
There is a quick way of setting the Living flag assuming you are sure that all 200 all still living.
Open the Individual Records Window and click on the Updated column to bring these 200 to the top of the list.
Use List > Named Lists Pane to open the Name Lists Pane on the right.
If there is not an existing empty Named List then create one using Lists > New Named List.
Select the desired empty list.
Select the top 200 Individuals from the Records Window and add to selected list using key F4 or Lists > Add to Selected Named List.
Use Tools > Work with Named Lists and Flags and select the chosen Named List and the Record Flag as Living.
Under Flag Changing Tasks ensure option 1. Set the flag on... is selected and click Perform Action.
Finally, use Lists > Empty Named List for the chosen list.
