I am trying to copy a project file to CD. I have tried saving a Gedcom file copy and I have tried exporting a Gedcom file. I have also tried a standard Windows file copy. In every case the file transfers to the CD but all photographs are missing and have been replaced by a mixture of blank rectangles and rectangles containing a diagonal cross. Im doing something wrong, but what?
FH 4.1, XP Home/SP3. Photos are a mixture of .jpg and .pdf.

If you have a project try using the Project copy on the Project More Tasks button (V4.1 only).
I suspect you are copying the gedcom and the pictures, but not the whole project.
If you are not using a Project with all the media linked to the media folder and not the disk you will need to use the Work With External File links to repair the file once you have moved it, which will be tricky with a CD.

Thanks, Jane. I'll have a look at that this weekend.
