Installation issue

Post by GeneHunt59 » 07 Jan 2011 22:15

Hi,

I have Family Historian from version 2.1.6 onwwards. I bought version 2 as a disk and the later upgrades as downloads.

I have just bought a new laptop and uninstalled FH from my old Vista driven one - I copied all the various installation files first. Anyway when I tried to install the original version 2 disk on my new Windows 7 laptop I got the following error message:

'Setup is unable to find installation languages in E:FHSETUP.LID file' Error 105.

I have the original disk plus download files for updates, plus emails confirming purchase of version 4 and the registration keys.

Any advice gratefully received,
Alan

V2 was developed long before Windows 7.

To install see
