I want to export names from a specific descendant tree (including spouses),saving it as a Gedcom file. In short, I want to be able to perform a similar operation as available in FTM where you 'Copy/Export individuals in Descendant Tree'.
I cannot see how this is done in FH 2.1. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Exporting Names from a tree
1. Save your main file using Save as and call it a new name say export.ged
2. Now on the file menu select Split Tree Helper.
3. Select delete all people not in query
4. Select the desendent Query and click the button.
5. select the root person for the tree.
This will delete every one not listed.
You can control what notes and sources remain in the file as well.
Personally though I always use the All Relatives Query as this ensures any 'entwined' persons are also left in the file. I normally start from the most recent shared ancestor.
Hope this makes sense.
Jane.

Thanks Jane.
Exporting individuals is a useful facility and perhaps your solution could be put forward for inclusion in the Manual for v2.2.
