Hi,
Looking for some assistance please, as a relative newcomer to FH. I have version 4.0.2 installed and use Windows 7. In the Diagram menu, I tried to 'Save Diagram As ... PDF File'. No joy. Message appeared stating 'PDF file output is not enabled' (see attachment).
Later, after saving the working diagram as an ordinary FH chart, I tried to 'File / Print' the same chart in a PDF format. Again no joy, as there was no FH PDF virtual printer option for me to select.
Is this a generic problem with FH4 and Windows 7 or have I not tweaked a setting correctly somewhere? Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin

The PDF facility is a 'virtual' printer driver so go to File>Print and select Family Historian PDF File.

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to do exactly what you suggested but there is no FH PDF Printer in the list of available printers. Is this an original installation problem I wonder?

Another possibility is that you have uninstalled the Nova PDF option which Family Historian uses. Try re-installing FH to re-install Nova if its not in your Programs list in Control Panel.

Hi Jane,
Many thanks for your advice, which worked admirably.
As Nova PDF was not listed anywhere in Programs (not sure why), I re-installed FH4 as suggested, and behold, Nova PDF became available. I tested with the same chart as before and no problems this time!
Great stuff, and thanks again.
