Is it me, or are the chapter 15 merge tutorial gedcom files completely different than what the screenshots in ch. 15 in 'Getting the most...' show? None of the examples are the same, and I've run the tutorial files 4 times - chapter 15a.ged and chapter 15b.ged without any changes whatsoever.
Something's seriously amiss with either the tutorial, or the with the files included for the tutorial.
For example, the tut says:
'So far then we can see that Family Historian has matched most of the records; but there are 7 Individual records in the current file that have no equivalent in the new
file; and there is one Individual record in the new file (for Hamish Wiley) which has no equivalent in the current file.'
Have a lot more than just 7 'no equivalent' records (55 in fact), and there are matching records for Hamish Wiley.
I think when you do a tutorial, you should at least make sure the examples you list are the same in the files, eh?

Chapter 15 merge tutorial
If you have not already, please download 4.0.2 and install it, I think the tutorial files issue was fixed in the most recent version of 4.0.2
If it's not fixed here is what Simon posted back in June
It isn't you. It appears that the installation includes the wrong version
of the tutorial file 'Tutorial - Chapter 15a' - the file doesn't match the
book. You can get pretty close by opening 'Tutorial - Chapter 15a' and
renaming 'Ian Robert Peabody' to 'Ian Peabody' and deleting the record for
Hamish Wiley. If you save that and then proceed with the Merge/Compare case
described in the book, you should get a good enough approximation to be able
to follow the example in the book. It still won't be quite the same though.
The real file has a lot more records that the version in the book.
