Could anyone help with this problem which I'm sure is somewhere in the help manual but I can't find it.
My Grandfather (T) had a mother (E) who was married to (J) but he was not the father of (T). From later documents we believe the father of (T) was (W) who was in fact the brother of (J). My questions are:
1. How to I show that the status of my Grandfather on the family tree?
2. How do I show that (T) was (W's) son without showing (T) in (W's) family line?
Thanks for your help.

You have a few options.
If you don't want to formally attach T to W.
Set a second family as Spouse for E and add T as a child of that family, with no father.
If you want to link T to W with out adding W as the Father you could use an associated person link and change it once you have proved the connection.
