Is there a way of adding other occupations to the entry on the Main tab?

It appears that it is not possible for an individual to have more than one occupation listed.

I don't really want to re-invent the wheel by creating more custom events if there is a solution.

Use the event tab and you can add as many occupations as you like they are a custom attribute, rather than an event.

The same is true of almost any event or attribute.

So if you really need to you can have multiple birth records or death records, as well as the more normal occupations, census events etc.
