Changing Text Size in Diagrams

Post by Marilyn » 23 Nov 2008 13:30

Please could anyone tell me is it possible to change the print size and font in diagrams, I have been messing with this all morning moving boxes and everything but in my last layout the boxes and the type in them was too small. The text size doesnt alter even if I make the box bigger.

I am sure there must be an easy way to do this which I am missing and is staring me in the face, many thanks in advance for any help.

Right click on the diagram, choose Diagram Options and then the Text Tab. You can choose any of the pre-defined text schemes. If one is suitable then fine, otherwise you need to edit the most appropriate. Click the edit button and set the intitial font to whatever is appropriate (you can easily experiment to find out what works). If the 'Items Used in This Text Scheme' pane contains a line starting <font= then the font that follows the <font= will be applied from that point onward - you may wish to edit this as well.

Thanks so much for advice Steve, it has displayed my tree just how I wanted it, think I may have made my decision about buying Family Historian, it is really good when you get used to it.

Thanks again
