Cutting and pasting

Post by Len » 16 Nov 2003 21:40

As a new user can anyone tell me if it is possible in FH to cut and paste whole charts into other programs as in Generations. I found that the ability to paste a chart into a Powerpoint presentation was extremely useful but have struggled to find this facility in FH.

Many thanks

Cutting and pasting

This is not currently available, obviously you can use the shift-Print screen buttons to copy the currently displayed screen to the clipboard, as you can in any program and use a image editor to trim off the excess.

The ability to copy charts to the clipboard is on the wish list, so don't forget to vote for it.

Many thanks Jane for your reply. I look forward to seeing this facility in the future. FH is certainly different in the way it does things. (I have been using genealogy programs since their infancy on 51/4floppies) and find the new approach very refreshing.
