Copying within a Query

Post by Robert129 » 20 Feb 2012 14:58

I recently had help from Jane and Mike on creating a Custom Query on Source and Citations.
Following on from that is there a way of copying an entry say from the result in the Note field to any vacant Note cells for the same Source?

You can't copy and paste other than the normal Ctrl-C Ctrl-V options in the Property box.

The query you have I think was a Fact or Individual query so they are not sources, but citations, what are you trying to move to where?

Copying within a Query

When I run the query there is for example information in the Text Field for a Source/Citation that is not is the same field for the exact same Source/Citation. This has occurred I belive from when I was entering data and had used the 'Set Automatic Source Citation' but had completed it differently between the 2 occasions.
What I want to do now is to synchronise the information so that it is the same.

My suggestion is to wait for V5 and use the Search Replace plugin.

That I will do. It was taking a long time one by one!
