Importing from another genealogy program? This is the place to ask. Questions about Exporting should go in the Exporting sub-forum of the General Usage forum.

I didn't mean forum -- you have one! I meant tutorial or such like. As all my notes were linked instead of local and I was browsing plug ins I tried Clean up notes. That cleared all the notes that had been in the notes field in the record window. I thought this window was great so have reversed but is this what it should do?
Thanks again Sue Anderson

It's entirely up to you. Personally I prefer to keep my notes local unless they relate to more than one person, but Family Historian does not mind.

With regard to the Knowledge base, if you would like to start a document on Migration from Legacy please just sign up for the Knowledge base and I'll be happy to promote you to an editor, everything on this site is written by users, and it would be great if you could make public what you learnt while migrating. I migrated from FTM 10 years ago, so am just a bit rusty at actually using other programs.
