I am trying hard to assimilate all the info for FH5. Taken as a new user I can understand where most of it comes in but with data already in, a section and/or forum for gedcom imports would be helpful. I had to learn with trial and error to use Ansi, take out UIDs and formatting etc before exporting from Legacy. The sources are completely different but whether to stick as I am or try to alter them with 5,500 people is difficult. The forums are so technical I don't understand half. Now do I gather that if I download say a fact set for baptism, I also download the same for A S or are they two separate entities? Any advice on changing systems greatly received from a complete technophobe.

It would help us to help you, if you explain what differences you have having with your Sources.
AS and FH are completely separate programs so, I would recommend getting used to Family Historian before moving on to AS as in most cases you need to understand FH to be able to set up AS the way you want.
I presume you have already read the Sources article in the Knowledge base?
There is a forum for Migrating to Family Historian already.

Thanks for your reply. I feel older by the day -- it took me ages to work aout what BTW meant! I have read the KB re sources for the umpteenth time and it would appear that what I have is not necessarily wrong. ie. I have one term 'Birth cert' or 'download from ancestry'or 'family bible' as source and other info is somewhere amongst notes. ie on birth entry notes. But one thing in favour of migrating was a general tidy up and sources are one of the lazy features of my past entries. I suppose a lot of my 'sources' should actually be in type but there would be no easy way to convert except by retyping everything. The important thing to me is to get reports out and my present set up does put those notes into reports. Would all details in FH sources be in reports or would they be in endnotes?

May I suggest you experiment with the Family Historian Sample Project that I believe is created by the default installation.
If not, then use File > Project Window > More Tasks > Samples > Reset Sample Project, that also allows the original Project to be restored.
Also study the Help > Book: 'Getting the Most From Family Historian 5' which includes many tutorials.
Once you are more familiar with the FH features, you will be able to make a more rational decision about the way forward.
You may not have to re-type everything, but use Copy & Paste to transfer text from your current Sources and Notes to the new Source Records.
At the risk of overloading you with information, there is much advice in the Knowledge Base and free FHUG Downloads in particular Ancestral Sources that helps with entering Source data.
