Aligning Trees in diagram

Post by donone » 04 Mar 2012 09:54

I have been unable to find a method of aligning separate small trees (or boxes etc) in a larger diagram i.e

Draggable guides
A visible or 'magnetic' grid
Align options in the Order context menu.
Rulers with moving position markers.

Have I missed something hidden somewhere?
Any suggestions that beat simply 'by eye' please?

I am not aware of any alignment features such as snap-to-grid, or rulers.

The best I can suggest is to use Diagram > Pages, Rows/Columns & Boxes > Make All Boxes the Same Height and Make All Rows the Same Height.
(If Diagrams are horizontal instead of vertical, then in the above Height is Width and Rows are Columns)

This allows the different trees to be more easily aligned with each other by hand.
