I'm in Oz with my daughter and Husband to be.
I want to install FH onto her Mac.
Can you tell me is there anything I should do or know before copying my PC based project and Media to her Mac?
Thanks
John

Mac's don't run Windows, so you can't install Family Historian on to it unless you use Parallels or VMWare to create a windows virtual machine to install Family Historian in to.

As Jane says you will have to 'run' a PC on the MAC to be able to use FH. You have the three main options of Bootcamp, Parallels and VMware. I personally use parallels, with a Windows Vista virtual machine, however both parallels and VMware require you to purchase the software. I believe (but have never touched this myself) that boocamp is part of the newer MAC OS's and just needs a 'windows' formated harddrive, however that can't then run alongside the MAC (i.e. copy & paste between the two).
