You simply need to create a Query to select the Source records and then use the 'Add Using Query' button on the record selection to select the Sources for the Repository.
In case you are not up to speed writing simple queries, I have added on to the downloads which does what you need.

Thank you very much for your swift reply Jane.
I dropped the file into the Queries folder in FH but it does not show up when I select the Standard Queries tab, even after restarting FH.
Am I doing something wrong?

You need to use the FH File menu option to Import the new Query. It will then appear as a Custom Query.

Thank you. I tried that (also double clicking the file gives the same option) but I get the error message:
An error has occurred. Cannot install 'Sources for Repository' as a custom Query.

I suspect that copying the Sources for Repository.fhq file into the Calico PieFamily HistorianQueriesCustom or the C:Program FilesFamily HistorianQueries folder is the cause of the problem.
Navigate to that folder and CAREFULLY DELETE just that one file.
Then double-click to install the original download again.

I had alredy done that once advised by PeterR about importing and was trying to import the file from my desktop.
I am wondering if there could be a minor syntax error in the file but don't know enough about scripting to be able to check (apologies Jane for this suggestion but I am just looking for possible reasons).
Would it be possible for somebody to attempt to import this query to ascertain if it works for them?

I have already installed the Sources for Repository.fhq OK, but I am on FH V5, although that should not make any difference.
The only way I could get the error message you quoted was by making the C:ProgramDataCalico PieFamily HistorianQueriesCustomSources for Repository.fhq file Read only.
Are you sure this file does not exist in that folder?

You seem to have the answer there Mike.
I am on Windows XP Pro and the folders are read only (don't know why) and therefore will not allow the query file to be written to it. Unfortunately trying to change the properties has no effect and is a known issue to Microsoft. The solution offered by Microsoft isn't working either so I guess the problem is purely here and I'm going to have to do a lot more searching to overcome the issue.

Windows XP folders are different.
Just to be sure, do NOT touch C:Program FilesFamily HistorianQueries.
The folders you should be looking at are C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily HistorianQueriesCustom.
I think you can ignore the Read-only attribute on folders, because Windows XP uses it in a special way.
Check and clear the Read-only attribute on the Sources for Repository.fhq file within the above QueriesCustom folder.

Thank you Mike. Success. I think maybe the problem was that there was a folder
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily HistorianQueriesStandard
but no folder
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily HistorianQueriesCustom.
I created the Custom folder and Hey Presto. Many thanks for your help.
