I am new to FH and have successfully imported one dataset from Legacy. However, when I followed the same procedure to export a second dataset, the records showing in FH were the same as the first one. (I have done separate trees for my own family, my brother-in-law's and my husband's.)
At first I was worried that the two trees had somehow been combined, but that doesn't appear to be the case as I didn't spot any 'strange' names in the record list.
I just don't seem to be able to find the second dataset, so I am assuming it hasn't been transferred, although I don't know why.
Can FH not handle multiple projects?
Should I have shut down FH after importing the first one, then opened it up again to pick up the second export? Should I have saved the first import in some way before attempting to move on?
I'm sure there's a simple answer, but I can't find anything in the index to help me.
Can someone please give me an idiot's guide to importing a second (and subsequent) tree?

You just need to create a Project for each gedcom file you exported from Legacy.
So open the Project Window select New Project for each gedcom and then pick each gedcom in turn giving the project a name.

Thanks for the prompt response.
Sorry to be so dim, but how do I get from the Records window to the Projects window?

Ah, sorry I assumed a new user would be on the current version, not a very old one. Projects were only introduced in V4.
Just use the file/open option to open the Gedcom you want to work on.
I would suggest checking out http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id ... your_files before you start adding too much media when using V2.
