I have just upgraded from v2 to v4 but have only just discovered this user group.
The problem I have is that my linked photos were stored in a folder in the same directory as my gedcom files.
These photos are showing fine in v4 but I have discovered that new photos I am linking are being copied to the Family Historian Projects folder which is fine, but the folder isn't on the drive that I want it to be on and also the linked photos from v2 are not in the new projects folder so I'm assuming v4 is still reading them from their original source.
Not sure I'm explaining this very well.
I'm wondering if I'd be better off uninstalling and reinstalling v4 and if so how do I make sure the Family Historian Project folder ends up where I want it to be? From what I recall on installation it asked where I wanted the application to go but not the project folder.
I'd rather have everything in the Project folder but don't want to move anything before asking advice since at the moment it is still reading my v2 photos.
Any help greatly appreciated.

You don't need to install again, but it is probably easiest to create a new project.
Make sure you have V4.1 installed (Help/About to check, if you bought an download version you will (just download the upgrade from the Family Historian site if you had a boxed copy).
Next at the bottom of the Project Window is a link for the Project directory, click on that to put your Project Folder where you would like it to be.
Now before you do any thing else, select more tasks, Gedcom/open file and select your V2 gedcom and check all the image links are working. If not use Work With External File links to fix them and save your file.
Next Go to the Project Window and Select New Project and select your gedcom and when asked select the option to copy the linked media to the Project Folder.
Once you are happy you can delete the Project Folder from the old location.
NOTE the media will be placed in the fh.data/media folder with in the Project folder so you might want to check if this has already happened.

Upgrade to FH4 photo folder problem!
I have just slowed down a bit and read a bit more of the info on this site and realsied that v4 HAS actually copied my photos over, and that I can change the location of the project folder in the project window.
SO my only question now is can I move the project folder and change the location in the project window to this new location without any problems?
I'm always in too much of a hurry to actually READ everything first.

On V4.1 you can use the Copy Project option on More Tasks to copy your project to a new location and then change the default location to the new one.
