Have just come across a family photo which i am having trouble dating so i can identify if possible who they might be. If any one could give me a rough date and/or ages they think the people might be.
Tim.

Tim, my guess would be 1915-1925 area? The older woman looks quite Victorian in dress while the 'girls' behind her look to be dressed similarly to pictures of factory workers. The area looks to be 'back-to-back' housing so I would guess a city location?
I find this site quite handy

but you need to remember to look at the 'class' of the people in the images and the location they live in. 1920's high society women might have been flappers, but country women wore mid calf skirts right through to the second war and in some cases beyond.

If it's the family i think it is or very close realtions then the photo would of been taken around Earlstown in Lancashire, which is certainly where the Photgraphic Studio who took it/processed it came from as that is shown on the Surround.
The main problem that i have is that the female 2nd from right looks like my Nan who was born 1909, but the female on the far right look like a young version of my Nan's Mother. The other problem is that the Male doesn't look like any photo we have of my GreatGrandFather, and he is the only one who we think the male may possibly be.

Could it be a 'work' group?

Could the 'young version of my Nan's mother' and the Male be siblings/cousins that you didn't know about before? A photo taken because of a family reunion, perhaps?

Hi Tim,
One of the hints they oftern give over on RootsChat is to try looking at when the photographic studio was in business as you know the name. That will normally give you a good Range, and if you are really luck some were only in business for a year or two [cool]
