Hi,
I'm using V.5 I went for a list of individuals and all appear as duplicated.
I originally imported the data as gedcom from another prog.
When I view a/diagram/chart the duplicates don't show.
It's a very small tree of only some 300 members.
Where have I gone wrong.?

If they have different record IDs then I suspect you may have tried doing a merge at some point and loaded them in again as a second copy.
Do you have a backup before the duplicates appear? If not I suspect of you sort by id number the extra ones should appear together and you can select them all and add them to a named list and delete them. Making an extra backup first of course.

Ah! the joys of walking before you can run : -)
That's exactly what I did and obviously blundered it!
However in this case I'm fortunate in that I was transferring data to a Mac running windows 7 but still have an unsullied version on the XP.
I'll go more carefully in future.
Thanks for the quick response.
