I have just started researching my family tree and tried various different software packages with just my immediate family and i must admit family historian seems really good now I have learnt how to do the basics!
My question is: I am researching my fathers family at the moment but if I decide to research my mothers family or my grandmothers family do I create a new table or just carry on using my exisitong tablr for my father. Hope that makes sense but I am new to this.

Kind regards Robert

My own preference is to use a single file, you can always use the split tree option latter if you need to send information other places. It also means that no one needs to have data entered twice.

I know of people with 30,000 people in their files so FH will handle large numbers of people with out problems.
