Hardware installation issue

Post by doppelganger » 08 Mar 2009 09:08

Hi, I bought and installed an HP Deskjet F2280 All-in-One printer, scanner & copier Friday evening and everything seemed fine. However, I was unable to log on to Firefox or IE yesterday (Saturday). I checked my internet connection and cables etc., and all seemed OK. Finally I uninstalled the hardware and now I can access the internet no problem.

Can anybody advise how I can re-install so I can use printer and the internet?

Many thanks Alan [confused]

Hardware installation issue

Very strange. Have you tried bringing down the latest drivers for the printer from the web?

Also how do you connect to the internet? If you are using a USB connected modem rather than a proper router, try moving the printer to a different USB port next time you try to install.

Hardware installation issue

Post by doppelganger » 08 Mar 2009 09:58

Hi,

I'm using a USB connected modem. I have 4 separate USB ports so tried a different one for the printer than previously.

Re-installation seems fine now. I searched for and downloaded updates straight after installation.

Many thanks
