Gedcom Census Review

Post by NickWalker » 18 May 2006 20:34

Thanks to Brian Horridge for pointing out that Gedcom Census was reviewed in the May edition of 'Your Family Tree' Magazine http://www.yourfamilytreemag.co.uk. Below is a scan of the review. Hopefully they won't mind me including it as I didn't mind them using a screenshot of Gedcom Census without asking [smile]. It is a great review and I was thrilled to see it in a glossy magazine.

Please do let me know if you see any other reviews or if Gedcom Census gets mentioned in public anywhere other than on this site or in the Family Historian mailing list.

Gedcom Census Review

Post by NickWalker » 03 Oct 2006 19:56

In the November 2006 edition of Family Tree Magazine (http://www.family-tree.co.uk) there is an excellent article by John Hanson entitled Have you recorded your sources? which discusses how to use sources.

Under the section on Censuses he writes:

GEDCOM Census is a good utility program, that works with Family Historian, to help allocate sources from census material. It's available from the Family Historian User Group Forum (http://www.fhug.org.uk)

Thank's very much John. I've been buying this magazine every month for 13 years so I'm very pleased to have got a mention. [grin]
