Edit Gedcom Census

Post by moondog » 15 Nov 2005 20:59

If I find an error that I have made in the Gedcom Census entry after I have saved it, is there a way to amend please?

In this case, a man married two wives with the same first name, and these became confused (in my mind)- so I need to remove the wrong one (which I can do in FH Events); can I then add the new, correct one within the Gedcom Census source file - or just add as an Event in FH?

Go into the record of the person you have saved the census source to, go to events, cut it from there and paste it into the events of the correct person. I have done this a few times, it puts the source link in too.

Just edit the data in FH. Copy the census to the correct person and delete it from the incorrect one.
