I've just got a shiny new PC with Microsoft Vista Ultimate installed.
When I try and install GedCom Census 6.0.6 I get an error message:
C:Windowssystem32scrrun.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x5
I'm signed on as a local administrator, so I should have all the authorities needed. UAC is on - should I disable it for this install?
Regards
David

Do you get the option to ignore the error and carry on? If so do that.

Thanks, Nick, that seems to work [smile]

Thanks David and sorry for the confusion. I'll look at how the installer deals with this in the next version, it shouldn't be trying to install this file in Vista.
