I have now input about a dozen marriages using V3.0 and no problems have arisen. So many thanks to Nick and all the Beta Testers.
One small query - where is the best place to record that the spouse's father was deceased? This is quite often noted on the marriage records I have been inputting but I can't see any obvious way to record it.

My assumption all along was this would be done by just editing the source text to add (deceased) before saving the record.
I will probably add proper support for deceased parents in a future update because currently if you enter an occupation for a deceased relative you'll get an effect that you might not want - i.e. an occupation recorded after their death. I must admit I hadn't considered this issue with occupations and it was only pointed out to me at the very end of beta testing and I didn't want to delay the release any longer. So in that circumstance you would just need to edit the occupation date in FH afterwards or alternatively don't record the occupation in the occupation field but just enter it in the source text.
Best wishes
Nick

I have seen it recorded in the occupation field but in all the examples I entered today it was added after the father's name. One thought that occurs to me is whether it would be possible to record the fact in the father's death field (i.e. died before 'date of marriage'), provided it was blank or perhaps had a date later than the date of marriage. (Can a person have more than one death date recorded?)

Sorry, the point I was making was where you might have someone deceased and their occupation also recorded. e.g.
Father: Joe Bloggs (deceased) Occupation: Engine Driver
Regarding your suggestion for creation of death events, ultimately there would need to be something similar for death as there is for birth (i.e. allow replacement of death date, death place, option to record multiple deaths, option to allow extra citation to support the existing death details, etc.). Something for the future.
Cheers

Nick,
Just noticed that in the Generic Marriage (Data Only) template the heading for Condition/Status is 'Age:' for both spouses. I have altered my template to 'Condition:', which is the column heading in the Marriage Registers I am inputting.

Yes, indeed. There was an occupation recorded for all the deceased fathersNick Walker said:

Yes, I have used the Death before Date of Marriage technique for a deceased Father.
There can be multiple Death Facts, just like multiple Birth Facts, with Citations linked to the Marriage Source, etc.
