Error message when adding image to existing facts
I'm trying to use the 'Add Images to Existing Sources' feature with census data using 'method 2'. I get a 'you can't choose images as there is more than one selected or associated with the source' error message when I try to add the image even though there are no images already associated with the appropriate facts (why would this matter anyway?). As far as I can tell, the sequence of events / screens is as shown in the appropriate part of the AS help.

The 'add images to existing sources' is for Method 1 users.

Hi Anthony
Are you sure you've only ticked the facts that are related to the particular census entry you're interested in? If you have a lot of facts linked to the source you'll probably need to use the citation filters to narrow the list down.
If so then please can you email me a screenshot showing the AS screen where you've ticked those items? Nick AT AncestralSources DOT com.
Regards
Nick

It used to be Method 1 only in the old 'Gedcom Census' days but in Ancestral Sources it should work for Method 2 as well.johnmorrisoniom said:

Yes, I used the filters to arrive at a list of census facts, one for each of the family, much as in your 'help' example.
What I've just discovered is that if I de-select all but one of the census facts, I can then add the image. I then reselect all the census facts and it saves correctly.

Did the source you selected have an ID of 4? If so then this is entirely explained by a typing mistake in my code which will only happen with source id 4! It also explains the error message which doesn't make sense as you said.

Yes! Source id = 4. Perhaps I should go and buy a lottery ticket!Nick Walker said:
