The major changes since version 2.4 (the last release) are:
1. In conjunction with Family Historian v2.3.1 it is now practical to have a Family Historian Gedcom file open in Family Historian and Gedcom Census at the same time. Both Gedcom Census and Family Historian will detect when changes have been made and allow the new data to be reloaded without having to close and reopen either application. For example, this allows the user to begin to enter a new census record in Gedcom Census and then upon realising that an individual is missing from their Gedcom file, add the person in Family Historian, save the changes and then immediately select them in Gedcom Census without having to close and start again.
2. Gedcom Census now allows USA, Canada and Ireland censuses as well as the UK to be selected. It is possible to specify the actual census date if known to be different from the official census date.
3. Gedcom Census can now automatically calculate birth dates and request birth place details for any individuals in a census record who do not currently have a birth recorded.
4. There is now no limit to the number of individuals that can be linked to a census source.
5. There is now an option to use a residence attribute for individuals rather than a census event for users who prefer that method.
6. The assessment of a census source citation is now optional and can be chosen to be primary, secondary, etc.
7. The source text box now allows tabs to be used to space out columns and also has an optional larger window that can be selected to enter the source text, in a similar way to Family Historian.
8. The Source Type can now be specified to support the Source Type feature added to Family Historian in version 2.3.1
There are also a few minor bug fixes and cosmetic changes.
