Make sure if you have customised the standard text schemes in version 2 you save them to custom schemes before installing version 3.
The extensive changes to the power of schemes means that in most cases redoing them is probably the best policy, but if you want to retain them make sure they are custom schemes and not 'modified' standard ones.
