HELP
I have V7 and all my data on my laptop. In attempting to move V7 from my laptop to a new Desk Top, I see that it is not possible to open V7, it is asking for my V7 License, I have no idea were that is! The Laptop is working perfectly but the Desk Top Icon for V7 does nothing. Do I need to purchase a New Licence for V7??

Re: HELP
Licencing: When you purchased V7, you acquired it via a login to the family-historian website. See https://www.family-historian.co.uk/install7 and https://www.family-historian.co.uk/activation-help
Re the icon not working, this may be a silly question but.. have you actually installed the software on your desktop?

Re: HELP

Re: HELP
As explained in the references I gave you, you don't need a licence key, you need to activate the software on the desktop PC . Are you being prompted to activate it? You need the login account on the Family Historian website that you created when you installed it on the laptop. If you can't remember the logon details, contact Family Historian.

Re: HELP
My v7 was an upgrade from v6 , and the v7 icon is a dead thing on my desk top - it does nothing. I will buy a new v7 for my desktop if no one has any other suggestions.

Re: HELP
Ian, Helen has offered suggestions. You do not need to buy another licence.
Just check what you are doing and give us the details of what you are doing.
Have you actually installed FH V7 on the desktop PC and run the program?
Is this the third PC installation of FH V7?
Forget about the FH icon, use the Start menu of applications.
You will find a Family Historian folder in which is the Family Historian program.
Have you forgotten your Calico Pie account name and password?

Re: HELP
Yes, see the https://www.family-historian.co.uk/activation-help Activation Help page.
Ian, do you get as far as that Activation Required page?
Does the Lost Password link help?
As well as Email you can use the CP https://support.calico-pie.com/open.php Support Centre.
Tell them as much as possible about yourself, when you purchased FH V7, and what Email address you used.
They should be able to provide your account details.
