Diagram of selected individuals

I'd like to create a diagram of selected individuals that can be identified by a flag, or membership of a list or by a query. The only way I can think to do it is to export the individuals I want included to a separate gedcom or project and then use Everyone Diagram.

Have I missed something?

I think you are right. I can't think of any other way.
