Very minor suggestion

Post by jelv » 04 Aug 2023 18:55

When you start up AS and a new version is available you get the pop-up (or if you use Check for Updates)

Would it possible to add to that pop-up the current version (including 32/64bit)?

Reason: when you click the Download Ancestral Sources vn.n.n link you are taken to a page where both 32 and 64 bit versions are available. Having the current version on the pop-up would be a reminder of which should be downloaded. At the moment you have to close the pop-up and use Help, About.

To be honest the only reason I keep the 32 bit version is in case of linux/mac users using emulators and nowadays hardly anyone uses the 32 bit version. The answer is probably to make that clearer on the download page and really make users understand that the 32 bit version is not for them if they are typical users.

But I'll take your suggestion on board.
