Add columns to Property box source pane?

Post by colinjenner » 01 Aug 2023 09:28

Hi all
When I'm looking at facts in the property box, I have the sources pane visible underneath. Is it possible to customise the columns shown in that pane? I have many items with a Custom ID and I'd like to be able to have that column visible where I've blobbed the pink highlighter in the following pic.
many thanks

No, that is not possible but there is an alternative possibility.

Currently, that pane shows the Citation: (Text: Source Record) i.e. the Source Title.

The cog Menu below centre, offers Display Citation As... with options for Footnote, Short Footnote, etc.
If you customise the Footnote Format or Short Footnote Format to include both the Source Record Title and its Custom Id then they could both appear in that pane.

The customisation technique depends on whether you use Generic Sources or Templated Sources.
Let me know if you are interested and which type of Source and the details can be explained.

Brilliant - thank you, Tatewise. Showing them as short footnote shows me the Custom ID.
