Exporting to Gramps
I need to export a gedcom to gramps for a relative and having a problem. On importing the gedcom created by FH7, the citations are imported but there is no Volume/page showing. I tried this with a few other genealogy programs and get the same results. I'm I doing something wrong. I also tried the Export gedcom plugin, same results.

Within FH, what field are you storing the Volume / Page in?

Re: Exporting to Gramps
I have moved this posting to the Exporting forum.
You say you used the Export Gedcom File plugin, so I guess you used the GEDCOM Destination: (GFT) Gramps Family Tree.
I presume you are referring to the Source Citation Where Within Source field holding Volume/page.
If so then they are shown in the Event Reference Editor in the Source Citations section.
If you are talking about a Templated Source Metafield then they are only exported as Notes because Gramps does not support Templated Sources.

Re: Exporting to Gramps
Ok, I figured out what is going on. FH doesn't use Titles for citations and so it doesn't know that field to use in the citation for the citation description. I let my family know that when they get the gedcom, there is going to be a lot of work cleaning up the citations under Gramps.

Re: Exporting to Gramps
Could you please explain the problem in a bit more detail? Maybe you have figured it out but we are still in the dark
FH does use Titles for Source Citations.
Please illustrate, perhaps with some screenshots, the Citation details in FH and how they appear in Gramps, with an explanation of why that is not what you expected.
See Forum Usage Tips under Attachments for advice on posting screenshots.
