* Problem adding source for witness role

I thought I'd begin adding marriage witnesses to my marriage facts, but appear to have hit a bug when I try to add a citation for the witnesses.

I followed on-line guidance, and added my two witnesses to the marriage fact. That worked well, and marriage sentence reflected the addition of the witneses - so far so good.

I then tried to source the witnesses. I clicked on the witness icon, and up popped the witnesses dialogue box, selecting first witness, and sources for pane moved from Marriage to Marriage witness - still good so far

However when I clicked add Citation button for the Marriage Witness, the sources for immediately flipped back to Marriage, and I end up adding an extra source to the marriage, which I then had to remove

It appears inconsistent, because adding the source for 2nd witness, worked OK. So I went back to first witness, (still with no source shown!), so I added a source again, this time successfully.

I have tried this for 2 or 3 marriages and same sequence seems to happen - any ideas?

EDIT Just tried it with a birth, and same thing happens, Sources for flips from Birth Witness to Birth when I try to add a Citation

I cannot repeat those symptoms. I've tried for both Marriage and Birth witnesses, and other fact types.

I will swear this has happened to me on occasions but since it depends very much on where the cursor is, I've just thought of it as a touch delicate meaning it might have been my fault. To be honest, I've never got my head round what I think sources should be for witnesses - isn't it enough to source the primary event? - so I've never followed it up.

Ros at CP has indentified the problem, which she will pass to the developers.

Apparently docking the property box will sort it (I’ve not tried yet, so cannot confirm)
