Addresses
Could it be possible to have a drop down list of the initial place address for bmds as dealing with Scottish ancestors in particular they show for instance: Edinburgh St Giles, Edinburgh George Square, etc, and similarly for Glasgow and no doubt in the rest of the UK, London? Also can the place and address be shown on the 2nd part from the 1st part of AS as more often than not the bmd is the same all the way through?

Re: Addresses
Can you clarify what you mean by 'initial place address'? Are you talking about places or addresses?Could it be possible to have a drop down list of the initial place address for bmds as dealing with Scottish ancestors in particular they show for instance: Edinburgh St Giles, Edinburgh George Square, etc, and similarly for Glasgow and no doubt in the rest of the UK, London?
See this topic where you asked the same question Addresses (21693). That discussion wandered into other areas, but in one of his replies Nick said:Also can the place and address be shown on the 2nd part from the 1st part of AS as more often than not the bmd is the same all the way through?
I think John wants the residence fields for everyone to automatically be filled in with whatever is typed into the place of birth or place of death on the first tab.
I've made a note of this and will consider it as a possible future option.

Re: Addresses
Nick,
It's the first line of the address, e.g. Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland, then the 2nd line of the actual address i.e. Street, road, etc. Most of the time these are the same for the 2nd page of AS for bmds.

Re: Addresses
As Lorna mentioned, I did note that when you requested it earlier.
Like Lorna I wasn't sure what you meant by your other suggestion, but I guess you mean "Can the place text box be a drop-down list instead?". I've seen some user's files with 20,000+ places recorded and so it wouldn't be practical for AS to populate the drop-down lists with all that information - it would be too slow. It might be possible for me to do something else like have a Place Search pop-up dialog that could be displayed. I'll have a think about that.
