Search and Replace Plugin & NAS

Post by McHooty » 22 Mar 2023 11:48

Hi Mike
I seem to be having a problem with the Search and Replace plugin and just wanted to check if i am missing something.
My project is stored on a NAS drive, mapped as Y on my laptop. This is set as the default project and default location in FH. I also have a copy of the project on my C drive as a backup which I update using SyncToy.
Edit>Find and Replace acts on the project on the NAS and makes changes correctly. However, the Search and Replace plugin seems to be choosing the project on my C drive to work on.
Am I doing something wrong, or can the plugin not work on a NAS drive ?
Thanks
Michael

Like most plugins, the Search and Replace plugin operates through the API provided by FH to access the current Project.
So I don't understand why any other Project should be affected.

What are the symptoms that suggest another Project is being affected?

Do any other plugins appear to affect other than the current Project?
