census plugins question

Post by bubbalicious » 13 Mar 2023 21:59

I thought there used to be a couple of plug-ins less than a couple of years ago, I think, because I've run them before called "ready for census" and "census citations." I could be slightly off on the names, but I hope somebody here knows what I'm talking about. Basically, the "ready for census" ran a report on people to still find in the census before their death and the other one ran a report on all people in any census year and there were columns of each decade that they were in. I'm in the U.S. and the reports would be for 1790-1940 (or 1950) decades.

At any rate, what happened to them? I've looked for them in the plug-in store and there's nothing even like them. I'm using the latest version FH7.

Thanks for your help.

If you have run such things in the past then they should still be saved in your system.
If they were Plugins then they will be listed in Tools > Plugins...
However, I suspect they may have been Queries, which will be listed somewhere under the Query menu, probably under All Custom Queries...

If not found there, then try searching the Forums and the Knowledge Base.
The Knowledge Base > Downloads for Individual Queries have Census checking versions but only for UK census years.

I've just searched your own postings, which you can do via the Posts: 26 link on the right of your posting, and there I found Need help with a query (20528) which has what you are looking for.

Since they are Queries and not Plugins, I've moved this posting to the FH General Usage forum.

Thanks, tatewise, for your quick response!
I went and looked at my post you pointed me to (last year) and lo and behold, there are your two .fhq things I was talking about! Duh on me. I downloaded them again.
