* Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Here is a second question. The confirmation screens for the creation of birth and death events often have a large number of fields such that the dialog is too large for the display screen. The buttons are often missing and do not appear to be resizable or have scroll bars. Note the cropping at the foot of image below.

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Which version of Windows are you running? Do you know what your Windows scaling is set to? Have you changed the font size in the tools->customise screen? Also do you know what resolution your screen is set to?

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
If you have changed the font size in AS then close AS and reopen it again so it gets a chance to properly change the scaling.

Windows 11
Scaling is at "150% (Recommended)"

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
And do you know what the resolution of the screen is? I think the auto-scaling doesn't seem to behave very well at 150%. I have my laptop set to 125% with 1920x1080 resolution and even if I increase font sizes to beyond 14, AS scales well enough to still have plenty of space for the various options that are cropped on your screenshot. Another thing to try is reducing the font size, e.g. to 7 (under tools->customise - you might need to type it in as it won't appear in the drop-down list) and then close AS and reopen it.

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Having said that I just set my laptop to 150%: mine also says 150% is recommended but the resolution feels ridiculously low at 150% to me with everything cramped on the screen so I'll set it back to 125%. Actually with the default size 8 the screen scales perfectly well for me at 150%!
Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Dropping the scaling to 125% fixes the problem. Is it a challenge to add scroll bars or make the box resizable in a future update?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
I'm not inclined to make this change - as I said, for me, even at 150% scaling the window displays correctly with the default size 8 font. I did ask what resolution you had the screen set to and the font size you were using in AS because they could have an effect.
Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
Sorry,
1920 x 1080
Font was 10pt
Reducing the font to 9 or 8 pt partially resolves the problem such that the dialog now fits the screen. Only reducing the scaling to 125% actually stops the bottom edge of the dialog from cutting across the buttons.
Thanks.

Re: Confirmation screen needs to be resizable
I've made some improvements to the way this form scales which will appear in the next version. Thanks for letting me know about the issue you had.
Cheers
