I have a subscription to MyHeritage, and I want to publish my family tree of the Boddingtons there. However, there is a limit of 250 people, and my FH tree contains 497 people. I was thinking of using a combination of Record Flags and Named Lists to generate a list of under 250 people.
I have not used Record flags and Named Lists much at all, and wondered if anybody had any suggestions as to the best practice for them to ensure that only direct ancestors and their immediate families are in the list.
Any help is much appreciated
Nick

Re: Create list of 250 people for MyHeritage
Nick, you probably don't need Record Flags as a Named List should be sufficient.
A convenient technique is to display an All Relatives Diagram for the Boddingtons, select the people needed to make up the 250 and add them to a Named List. You can add or remove people as required to adjust the list.
Then when exporting a GEDCOM file the Named List identifies who to include.
The details of the process are given in the FHUG Knowledge Base article Create an export GEDCOM based on a diagram.
After creating that GEDCOM with 250 people you should use the 'Export Gecom File' plugin to create a customised GEDCOM file with Media files suitable for MyHeritage. It is best to first import to the 'Family Tree Builder' and then synchronise with the Website Family Tree.
That is a summary of the processes involved and after you have studied it you will no doubt have further questions.
BTW: I have moved this to the 'Importing and Exporting' forum which is more appropriate.
