Using citation list help

Post by rcpettit » 19 Dec 2022 02:09

I moved from RM8 to FH7 and now cleaning up my sources using the Citations to sources plugin. How do you tell which citations you have fixed without printing off the list and marking it up? I don't see a way to add a modified date to the list. I have a ton of census records that are shared and right now I have to edit the main citation and then delete and paste this citation in every person that it is shared with. There is nothing to show you have made all the changes. A last update date column would go to fix this.

The best I can think of is to create a Note record via the Notes tab of the Records Window.
Then for each Citation, in its Citation Window, use the Notes tab to Add Note > Add to Citation > Shared Note Record and select that Note record. When you copy & paste a Citation that Note record link will go with it.

Then to find such Citations you can select that Note record and run the Where Used Record Links plugin.
