I don't know if my memory is failing me, but I often select a source citation in the citation list pane within the property box by clicking on the edit source citation button, so that I can view the citation details, source text or source media etc. via the citation window. It's a habit that I have gotten into and I find it convenient.
Having updated FH to the latest version 7.0.18, I find after opening the citation window by that method, that I keep left mouse button clicking on the edit source citation button again to close the floating citation window, but it doesn't work and I have to close it from the "X" close button in the citation window title bar.
I can't remember whether clicking on the edit source citation button used to close an opened floating citation window in previous versions, but as I am finding that I keep clicking on the button with that intention, presumably out of habit, I assume that it either did close the window or I am losing what is left of my marbles.
Can anyone confirm one way or the other please?

Currently, in FH V7.0.18 it definitely only opens the Citation Window.
I cannot be certain about earlier versions but I would be surprised if it closed that floating window.

I just checked V7.0.17 and it only opens the Citation window there, too. I'm pretty sure it never closed it in earlier versions either.

OK, thanks both of you, it must be me. Since a bout of Covid back in the summer I have found that my ability to concentrate is not quite what it was, and my memory seems to have suffered as well. Presumably another manifestation of that then
