* Fact date warning list - marking "not a problem"

I am a new user (V7) and have searched for an answer to my query but not found one. I have created the above list but cannot see how to mark a fact as not being a problem so that it does not return a warning in a subsequent query.

Hi Ann,

Welcome to the FHUG.

There is no way to mark them as not being a problem. I think they are not really problems, but just warnings that there might be a problem. If the actual problem ones are corrected then they will not appear here any longer.

Some of the warnings are dependent on the settings in Tools > Preferences > Estimates. Adjusting the values can reduce some warnings. For instance I have changed the range for Woman's and Man's age at marriage to have upper limits of 90 as I have quite a few people that married in their eighties.

Thanks Bill, I will make those kind of adjustments. However it won't get rid of warnings about a fact later than the death date e.g an obituary or In Memorium notice. I may have to think about a work around for those.

What fact type are you using for the obituary and In Memorium notice? Did you create custom facts for those?

If you did, you can go into Tools > Facts Types, select the fact, click on Edit, and make sure the Normal Time Frame is set to Post-Death. That might eliminate the warnings.

Thank you! I have changed that parameter and I see that about a third of my problems on the currently generated list have now disappeared. Wonderful. I didn't realise that the list was interactive (if that is the correct word) and I didn't even have to regenerate it.
