Ordering Record Notes in FH7.0.11

Post by Laurel » 29 Aug 2022 15:58

I have attached a number of Notes to a particular individual as I have used them to write a long biography on that person. But I now want to change their order so that in the record window I see a different Note as default. (see Print Screen attached). Events and Attributes can be easily sorted into an order using Date but I dont see a way of doing this with Notes as you cant change the Note description to Note 1, Note 2, Note 3, Note 4 or attach a date, or use an up/down cursor?? So how can I order them? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Laurel, I think you are talking about Local Notes attached to the Individual record.
In the same way that you view Events/Attributes on the Facts tab and change their Dates to adjust their order, you can view Local Notes on the Notes tab and use the black arrow Move Up/Move Down buttons to change their order.
I suspect on that Notes tab you have several Local Notes with blue bullets, so adjust their order using those arrows.

In your screenshot, you are looking at the Records Window and you can perform the same adjustment there.
Fully expand the Individual record by clicking its [+] button.
Scroll down to view the Note items.
Select any one and use the black arrow Move Up/Move Down buttons in the main toolbar.
