Often in my research I stumble on something where I think are A and B the same person? or brothers? or....
In TMG I created a custom event called ndlink and put A and B in as the two primary people with the possible relationship in the memo.
This worked wonderfully well as I could click on the event to switch back and forth between the two people.
RootsMagic didn't have a good way to handle this. I suspect this is because in GEDCOM the two primary people on an event would be considered part of a couple.
Reading about Associated People, I downloaded and installed the Associates tab but linking back and forth is not really "one click". Also, it isn't bi-directional, so it needs to be added on both sides BUT it does have the advantage of a relationship and notes/sources.
I'm wondering if there is a better way or different way you smart people have been handling this.
Lastly - how would you query for all associated people so they might be reviewed?
19 days left on the 30 day trial... then it gets real

Re: Associated Persons vs Witness vs ??
In FH you can do the same as in TMG. Create a custom Fact with a Witness Role of say 'Associated'.
Then add that Fact to one person and add the other person as a Fact Witness.
The Fact appears in both of their Property Boxes.
You can add Notes, Source Citations, and narrative Sentence Templates.
Querying for Associated Person and Relationship entries involves the Data Refs %INDI.ASSO>% and %INDI.ASSO.RELA%
So those would be entries on the Columns tab.
They can be found in the Fields on left under Individual + Miscellaneous + Associated Person.
The Rows filter tab will also need to Add unless... %INDI.ASSO% is null to exclude those without associations.
If you have more than one Associated Person per Individual then the above Columns and Rows will need to be repeated with instance indexed [2], [3], etc.
i.e. %INDI.ASSO[2]>% and %INDI.ASSO[2].RELA%

Bev there are a few past topics on ASSOciations you might find "food for thought", including these:
Associated Person feature (15065)
Associated People (15780)
