What 'bit' version should I have?

Post by Rusty » 19 Jun 2022 17:34

Sorry if this question is completely off the wall, but, I've just noticed that though my laptop is 64 bit when I run Task Manager it shows that my version of FH says '32 bit'. Does this matter and if it does should I do anything about it?

No. FH is only available as a 32-bit app (although AS has both 32- and 64-bit versions). All it means in practice is that it is limited to using about 3 GB of RAM, irrespective of how much your PC is stuffed with.

Your laptop has a 64-bit processor (as have most PCs since about 2007) and runs 64-bit Windows, but both run 32-bit apps without any issues.
