upgrading

Post by Sylvia5401 » 06 Mar 2022 18:48

I have a very old version of FH. version 2.1.8. When I loaded it on my last laptop I was told to upgrade to 2.3.5.
I now have a new laptop but don't seem to be able to download 2.3.5.
Any idea what I should do now?

Are you saying you can't find the 2.3.5 download? (It's at the downloads archive).

Or that it won't install?

In any case version 2 is so old you will struggle to find anyone who can help if you need advice. Is buying V7 out of the questions? You wont lose any data, and you'd get a lot of potentially very useful functionality. Of course, you may be very happy with V2 and not need all the new functionality :D

If you want to know what's new since Version 2, look at the Family Historian tour

Thank you for your prompt reply. I tried downloading the upgrade but it didn't do anything for me. My husband says he will treat me to a V7 to prevent future problems. I have also posted another message asking if any data conversion from 2 to 7 is completely automatic.
