Hi - I've just confirmed a link between two individuals (siblings) and would like to merge the two trees (one has only ancestors, the other only descendents) - what is the easiest/safest way to do this please?
Thank you.
* Merging projects
Re: Merging projects
Hi, and thanks for the pointer ... right now the two trees are two individual projects so does file (rather than project) merging still apply? Sorry for being dense...

Re: Merging projects
Yes, see the FHUG Knowledge Base Merge/Compare File advice.
In your case, it should be a relatively simple merge because only one Individual record is common to both Projects.
However, depending on how you use Source Citations, Repositories, Media, etc, there may need to be merging of other record types. A common mistake is to overlook the other record type tabs after merging the Individuals.
